Can you take ldn with plaquenil

Whenever I speak on the topic of autoimmunity or thyroid health, it is often one of the first things I am asked about. Opioids (including the ones used in prescription pain medications such as Percocet, Dilaudid, Lortab, Vicodin as well as drugs such as heroin) attach to these same receptors and produce a similar result. I will also discuss how LDN can fit into The Myers Way® as part of a broader approach to reversing autoimmunity alongside The Autoimmune Solution. Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist, meaning it blocks the opioid receptors in your brain.

Hello, I am new to this site and to LDN. This is my 22nd day. When I started this my doctor recommended that I stay on Plaquenil. Dx SLE, Sjogren's & Fibromyalgia. I would appreciate if I could get some feedback as to whether this is okay or it's better to be off of the Plaquenil. Had discontinued methotrexate prior to starting LDN. Thanks. Hydroxychloroquine oral tablet is available as a brand-name drug and a generic drug. Brand name Plaquenil. Hydroxychloroquine comes only as a tablet you take by mouth. Hydroxychloroquine is used to treat malaria, lupus erythematosus, and rheumatoid arthritis. Aug 26, 2016 However I told a friend of mine about it. She has MS, and it has definitely helped her in a big way. You just can’t take LDN and narcotics. LDN was initially created to help people stay off of narcotics.

They block pain, slow breathing, and lead to a generally calming and anti-depressant effect. Today I’d like to help you better understand what LDN is, how it can be helpful for patients with autoimmune disease, and how I have used it with my own patients.

  6. The first post I wrote about LDN you can find here Low Dose Naltrexone. If you have an autoimmune disorder, I think the post is worth a read. LDN is also being used for other illnesses other than autoimmune diseases but I try to write about what I know based on my experience and that experience is with taking LDN for Sjogren's syndrome.

LDN is not an opiate and is not a controlled substance. It is an opiate blocker and is used in regular dosages 50mg to help patients stop abusing alcohol and opiates. However, at lower dosages it has been found to have anti-inflammatory effects, especially in the brain and around nerves. What I have read, is that Plaquenil like LDN is merely a modulator of the immune system, not an immune supressor. The drug is used to treat different infections like malaria. Recent studies show that plaquenil also has effect agains HIV. On Plaquenil, LDN and Methotrexate and the pain doesn't stop. Hey everyone, hope you all are well I find that the longer I’ve had this disease, I feel as.

Hair loss w/ plaquenil temporary adjustment or permanent? I read that hair loss can be a side effect but the literature on RX from CVS says that's a "more serious" side effect and I should contact my doctor. However, it seems like there are a lot of posts on here and elsewhere about people losing hair because of Plaquenil.
